Common questions
Open the Friends tab and share your private friend code, or enter a friend's code to send them a request. They have to accept before either of you can see the other's profile. There's no stranger search — you only connect with people who share their code with you.
Open that person's profile (tap them in your Friends tab) and scroll to the bottom — tap Block. Blocking removes the friendship and prevents them from finding or adding you again. You can see and undo your blocks any time in Settings → Blocked accounts.
On a friend's profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Report. This privately flags the profile for our team to review. If it's urgent or you'd like to add detail, email us at BestFriendFileSupport@gmail.com as well.
Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete my account, then confirm. This permanently erases your profile, your friends list, and your private notes. It can't be undone.
On the log-in screen, tap "Forgot your password?" Enter your email and we'll send you a reset code. Enter the code and choose a new password.
The bare minimum: an email to sign in, a nickname, a birthday (month and day only — never the year), and the favorites you choose to add. We never ask for last names, address, school, phone, or location. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Safety is the whole point. Profiles are private, friends are added only by code and approval, there are no public profiles, ads, strangers, or feeds, and you can block, report, and delete at any time. BestFriendFile is intended for ages 13 and up — see our Terms.
